Welcome to my blog. I am again here with my eighth blog and the last blog of my assignment. Last week on the seventeenth of February, an assignment was given to us, to write a ‘blog’ for eight days. We have to write to each blog, each day. For one hour, we have to switch off our mobiles, desktop or any other type of devices, and then we have to write the thoughts that come in the mind in that one hour. After one hour we have to elaborate the points and thoughts that we had written and after that, we have to post those things, as a blog. After knowing all the things about the assignment. I was very tensed because, before the assignment, I was not knowing too much about the blog and blogging. I was not knowing how to write a blog. For the first few days, I found it uninteresting. I was writing it just as an assignment. But after writing a few more blogs, I found it interesting. Blogging is a good way to express our thoughts, emotions, views and opinions. We can give our opinions and views on different topics. We get other opinions and views also. This assignment helps us to improve our writing and thinking skills. And the best part of the assignment was, for one hour at least in a whole day, we think, we sat down with a pen-paper not with the mobile phone, social media or any other type of a device. It will going to be so interesting and fun when after some time, we will go back, through these blogs.
Experience of blog writing…

Time…
Welcome to my blog.!! Thinking about the assignment of blog writing, I noticed that, from half an hour I was only thinking that-“what topic should I give to my today’s blog”? I have not yet decided the topic. Then, suddenly an idea came in my mind that, I should write about time and its importance, in my today’s blog. We all know that time never waits for anyone. Time is the most valuable thing in life. If once it went, then it will never come back. We should utilize our time in a proper manner, to save time. Each second is very important in life. We can see, every successful person has proper time management, they know how to work hard and manage their time. Might be, maximum of us heard the story of the rabbit and the tortoise. But if you don’t know, let me tell you the story. Once there was a rabbit and the tortoise. The rabbit was a very good runner and the tortoise was very slow as compared to the rabbit. Everyone used to praised the rabbit and humiliate the tortoise, for their running. One day, rabbit challenges the tortoise for the race to show and outshine his running skills. The race was organised, the rabbit was overconfident. But the tortoise was very innocent and was trying to give his best. The race started, the tortoise was very slow and the rabbit was very fast. In a few seconds, rabbit covered the half distance and the tortoise was near the starting line. Rabbit thought that the tortoise is very slow so, he had enough time to take rest. He slept under a tree. On the other side tortoise was continuously running, he did not take any rest and crossed the rabbit and finish line too. When the rabbit woke up it was too late. We should utilize our time. If one will do hard work with respect to the time, then he or she will be able to achieve the goal.

Shiva – the Adiyogi…..
Hello, after writing four blogs, I found blog-writing a little bit interesting. My today’s blog is quite spiritual. Today when I switched off my phone and keep it aside and sat down to write today’s blog, I heard the sound of mantras and chants which are coming from the nearer temple, this was because of ‘Mahashivratri’. So I decided to write about Shivratri and Adi yogi – Shiva in today’s blog. In Hindu mythology, Shiva is one of the supreme God out of three. He is called the ‘destroyer’ within all the gods. He is one who create, protect, and destroy the universe to recreate it. Shiva is also known as Shankara, Mahadeva, Neelkanth, Bholenath and many more. There are many stories behind the celebration of the Shivratri or Mahashivratri. Some says that on this day, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married. According to some, on this day, Lord Shiva saved the universe by drinking a pot of poison which was emerged from the Samudra Manthan. Shivratri is celebrated on the fourteenth day of the month of february or march according to the Hindu calendar. In the yogic culture, Shiva is known as Adi Yogi. Adi Yogi means the first yogi, who originated the Yoga. He is the supreme God. He was, he is and he will be, forever. May on this Maha Shivratri, Lord Shiva brings lots of happiness and prosperity to everyone lives.
Will Power..
Today, on the fourth day of blog writing, I am again here with the new topic “will power”. There is a very famous proverb of English -” where there is a will, there is a way”. Will power is the most important thing to succeed, without will power one can not reach, his or her goal. If you will change your mindset, then the whole world with new possibilities will open for you. There are many great personalities who proved that nothing is impossible to do. Here is one of them, the ‘mountain man’-Dashrath Manjhi, who proved that by will power, hard work and determination one can achieve his or her goal. He carved a huge mountain to make a road by using just one hammer and a chisel. After twenty – two years of his hard work he achieved his goal. He made a road by cutting the mountain by using just two things. His story gives a moral that a small man who has nothing, can challenge a huge mountain. Here is another example: Arunima Sinha. She is a mountaineer and a national volleyball player. In 2011, she was thrown out of moving train by a gang of robbers, in that accident she lost her one leg. But after some time she decided to climb the highest peak of the world -Mount Everest, and she achieved her goal. The list is very long…there are many legends who proved that every problem can be solved and every obstacle can be crossed. Will power is the key to success, it teaches us discipline, patience, hard work, dedication, concentration, which is very important in one’s life.
Nature…
Nature is the biggest and beautiful gift, given by God to us. Nature is the most important element for human survival. Without nature and environment, there is no existence of human or any other organisms. The food we eat, the air we breathe, the water we drink and all the other things, we get from nature only. Nature protects us from harmful rays by making a layer of ozone. Nature gives us many things, the rain which is a big source of water, the sun which gives us light, soil, because of which all the organism are surviving and many more valuable things. Sun, moon, mountains, rivers, plants, animals, all are different forms of nature, which plays an important role in our lives. In the race of technology advancement, we are destroying our own environment. We are not paying attention to nature. We have to conserve nature and maintain the natural balance. This problem is increasing day by day. In order to conserve nature, cutting of trees and use of plastic must be reduced. We should use the principle of 3R(Reduce, Reuse, Recycle ). The excessive use of AC, refrigerator and automobiles are increasing the amount of CFC which causes global warming and ozone layer depletion. we have to understand the importance of nature, otherwise, we will not be there to use all these things. If nature has the power to save and protect us, then it has enough power to destroy us also. Today we are harming ourselves by spoiling the nature and environment. #Save Nature.
School Life…
School life is considered as the ‘golden period’ of a life. School life is that period of life where we enjoy, learn, and do many memorable things. School life is not just studies, hard work, exams but it is lots of fun, enjoyment and is the best part of our lives. When you forget to do homework, try to sit on the last corner of the class and make those common excuses. Waking up in the early morning, going for the school wheather it is cold, hot, or rainy. The school friends are those friends, that one can never forget. The school life is that period of life where we acquire more knowledge, learn good things. During this time we matured enough to understand the things. This is the period where we understand words like hardwork, sincerity, discipline, dedication and respect. It truly impacts the life of a student. The memories of school life are invaluable. I studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya, from class fourth to class tenth. Starting the day with Sanskrit shlokas and prayer. Practicing for CAA, one day before preparing for the assembly programs and so much… Kendriya Vidyalaya has given me, many memorable and beautiful memories. The enjoyment and fun are countless. Those are the best days of my life. I never forget the teachers, students, friends, seniors and those beautiful moments of my life. Those are the best experience of my life. #proud to be Kvian.
Social Networking…
I am Gerika Dubey, pursuing ‘Electronics and Communication Engineering ‘ in NERIST.
Hello friends, I am here with the first blog of my life. Thinking about assignments(blog writing), suddenly I remembered, my phone which was switched off and was kept aside. Suddenly, an idea came in my mind that, I should write about social networking in my first blog. Nowadays, social media became a very important part of everyone lives. Living without social media is like a dream. Social Networking sites became more important than a social network. A coin has two sides like that social media has both advantages and disadvantages. Social media made things easier. Now distances do not create any problems in the communication process. Social media connects people who are in remote or distant places or are far from loved ones. Trough Facebook, WhatsApp we can connect or communicate. Social media is very useful for students or learners. From just one click, we get all the information that we want. All the things are available on websites and internet. We can read the newspaper or get all the information about the world. Because of social media, we get updated. It provides a great platform to showcase one’s talents. Through this, we can acquire lots of knowledge. One can give an opinion or share his \ her views through social media. We can transfer money from one’s account to another in just a few seconds. On the other hand, social media has disadvantages too. Social media is considered to be a bad element for society. Many of the people spent very much time on social media which causes health problems and leads to addiction. Privacy is not secure in social media platforms. Today we prefer to send “Hii” instead of meeting that person. We prefer to send emojis, cake on someone birthday, instead of meeting that person and giving a hug. If someone met an accident, instead of taking him \ her to the hospital, clicking photos and posting on social media sites became more important than the life of a person. We are more connected with social networking than social networks. Social networking sites are both good and bad, it depends on us how we use it.
